Patek Philippe was founded in 1839 in Geneva, Switzerland by Antoni Patek and Francois Czapek. In 1845, Jean Adrien Philippe joined, leading to the company’s renaming as Patek Philippe & Cie in 1851.
Patek Philippe are still known for their horological innovation and remain as one of the last family owned, independent watch manufacturers in Geneva.
