Audemars Piguet

Audemars Piguet is best known for launching the Royal Oak wristwatch in 1972, a groundbreaking model that significantly elevated its status in the watchmaking industry. Among its earlier milestones was the creation of the first minute-repeating movement in 1892. In 1934, AP introduced the first skeleton watch, and over the years, it has continued to innovate by producing some of the world’s thinnest timepieces, including the ultra-thin automatic tourbillon wristwatch (Calibre 2870) which was released in 1986.

The company has been family-owned since its founding in 1875.
