We have over 20 years experience in sourcing diamonds and creating unique, bespoke jewellery to suit the needs of our customers. As a family run business at Michael Matthews we are passionate about our work, our products and our reputation.

We believe we have a responsibility to provide an informative and educational sales process. We hand pick the majority of our diamonds used in our Engagement Rings and have strict policies regarding the purchase of our diamond jewellery from our reputable manufacturers. When looking at diamonds our experience allows us to select diamonds based not just on there basic colour and clarity attributes but also the complicated aspects of diamond buying such as ‘finish’ grading and ‘proportions’. We source our diamonds to marry in with our company ethos and look to purchase at quantity to optimise not only our purchase price but also therefore or selling price.

Our Policy On Conflict Diamonds

Michael Matthews have always purchased diamonds from legitimate sources not involved in funding conflict. This is in compliance with United Nations resolutions. Our suppliers attest that their diamonds were exported according to the rules of the Kimberly Process and, based on our personal knowledge, we are happy to guarantee that all our diamonds are conflict free.
